“Abu Simbel was a highlight of our trip. Our guy explained the history of the location, and even the hieroglyphics were explained to us and what they meant. The improvement I would suggest would be for lunch. The place that our guy took us was very nice and very friendly, but the barbecued chicken and grilled fish was overdone for our taste meaning that a lot of the meat was on the grill so long that it turned to charcoal. Everything else that we ate was very good, even better than the hotel that we stayed in.”

We visited Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple (outside), took a Nile cruise with fresh fruit, had a delicious lunch, saw Hatshepsut's temple, and several tombs in the Valley of the Kings. We paid extra to visit Tutankhamun's tomb – well worth it. The tour is also suitable for children, thanks to stops with clean toilets (e.g., Cleopatra). Downside: The journey is extremely long, as you have to drive via Safaga with many checkpoints – you should know this in advance. Also, the tour guide only joins the tour…”
